Danny Boyle, director of Slumdog Millionaire has won the Oscar award in the Best Director category.
Boyle’s rags to riches story is based on the novel of Vikas Swaroop, an Indian diplomat. Though, the movie is a British official entry but the actors and crew members worked in the movie are Indian only.
In the mean time, Indian music maestro A R Rahman had got 2 Oscars for music categories.
Before this, Hollywood’s stars turned out Sunday for the movie industry’s biggest night of the year, strolling into a glittering Oscar ceremony that aimed to lift the economic gloom hanging over the film industry.
