The international glamour market is abuzz with rumours that the cosmetics giant, Estée Lauder, has signed on Freida Pinto as their new face. If the deal is finalized, she would become the first Indian to become the face of the brand.
Slumdog Millionaire’s Latika is going places. She walked the ramp for Dolce and Gabbana alongside Scarlet Johansson at the Milan Fashion Week in Italy on Monday. Ever since then rumours have been rife in the international circuit of Freida joining the ranks of Elizabeth Hurley and Gwyneth Paltrow as the face of Lauder.
Freida’s Indian spokesperson didn’t deny the news, “Estée Lauder hasn’t commented on anything so far, so we can’t say anything. Nothing is in black and white as yet.”
It is amazing what fifteen minutes of screen time have done for this 24 year old debutante. With Hollywood stylist George Kotsiopoulos by her side, she has become a fashionista with dazzling red carpet appearances.
She has made numerous magazine covers and editorials like those for Entertainment Weekly and Vanity Fair abroad and Maxim, Vogue, Cosmopolitan in India.
She has also bagged a Woody Allen film, shooting for which will begin in July.
