Kangna to work with her ex Aditya Pancholi

Kangna Ranaut, Aditya Pancholi

According to some reliable sources, Rohan Sippy’s next film, Dum Maro Dum, is about the drug racket in Goa. The leading lady of this movie is Kangna Ranaut who is playing a Goan junkie in this movie. She playing this role opposite Rana Daggubati, a Telugu star, who is making hisbollywood debut. The most interesting part of this movie is that Kangna is paired with her ex-boyfriend Aditya Pancholi, who is playing a villain named Biscuit.

A source said, “Kangna plays a Goan drug addict named Tracy who is Aditya Pancholi’s moll and Daggubatti’s love interest. At the end of the film, Aditya gets Kangna killed.” The suprising part is that Kangna is not at all awkward about working with Aditya Pancholi. A source close to Kangna revealed, “Though Kangna was perfect for the hyper-ventilating role of Tracy, director Rohan Sippy was hesitant to approach her because of the Pancholi factor. However, Kangna surprised him by shrugging off all the inhibitions about being paired with her ex. Her only reservation was about the part she is playing.”

When approached for her response, Kangna said, “Yes, I have been approached. Let us see what happens.” However, the sources have confirmed that she has been finalized for the role.

Adhyayan Suman: Kangana is perfect

Kangana Ranaut turns 21 today. So what is beau Adhyayan giving her and what does he love most about her? Read on to find out.

“KANGANA has not given me a gift list as yet. I want to give her a memorable gift and do something to surprise her. It is too personal to talk about,” says Adhyayan about his birthday plans for her.

However, our source tells us, “Adhyayan is throwing a party over the weekend for Kangana where he has invited Jashnn costars Shahana Goswami and Anjana Sukhani, among others like Mohit Suri and Emraan Hashmi. Soniyo is Adhyayan’s all time favourite song and he loves to sing it at every opportunity because it is a sweet, romantic song that was picturised on him and Kangana. He will obviously dedicate the song to Kangana on her birthday.”

Revealing a secret about his girlfriend, he says, “Kangana loves to eat and on Valentine’s Day I cooked a meal for her. So this time, I won’t be cooking,”

Is there anything he would like to change about his dainty damsel? “Kangana is the perfect woman and I wouldn’t want to change anything about her. She is so nice, humble and patient. She has brought a lot of peace, calm and a positive attitude in to my life. I used to be impatient and impulsive before I met her. I am always going to be there for her no matter what and support her through everything in life. I will give her all the happiness and whatever she desires”

“I wish her all the success and happiness in the world. She is a fantastic actress and I hope she becomes number one soon. I just want her to have everything that she desires and may God bless her,” says the doting boyfriend.

What's happening in Bollywood

Pink and Purple: Birthday girl, Kangana, arrived for her bash in a nice electric lavendar shirt and a casual pair of shorts. And the normally sexy K, disappointed us with her flat and worn out shoes. Adhyayan looks too casual and his hat doesn't fit with what he is wearing. .

The Women Behind The Men: Directors of Fashion and Kites Madhur Bhandarkar and Anurag Basu respectively arrived with their wives in tow. Madhur's wife looks like a pretty young girl. Her silver peep toes are cute too. Anurag and his wife are both casually dressed for the occasion. We wonder when will we see a hep Basu.

How Fashionable! Arjan Bajwa arrived with Fashion co-star, Mughda Godse. While he is very casually dressed, we love Mughda's colourful top which adds just the right amount of vibrance to the outfit. Her lemon green peep-toes are very appealing and goes well with what she has worn. Notice how both have worn pointed shoes!

Perfect match: How can the stylist of Fashion go wrong? Rita Dhody has sported a nice brown stylish top (finally adding the much required zing to the boring party clothes so far!) with lovely golden sandals. We just love the woman's dressing sense.

Lending a Helping Hand: Jaya Bachchan, Lara Dutta and cancer patient Shobhit Kaushal at his art and poetry evening.

Jaago Re: Rahul Bose and Sushma Reddy are going all out to get the general public going for the elections. Rahul is getting his petition signed while Sushma is telling to don't vote for criminals.

The Ex-Factor: Bipasha Basu didn't mind striking a pose with her ex-boyfriend, Dino Morea at Gold's Gym. We love Bips spirit of agreeing to pose for the camera sans make up!

So (NOT) In Vogue: Neil Nitin Mukesh sure knows how to dress up - not! His suit-like tee and black jacket with the intense red, makes him look a tad too loud. And what's with the golden shoes dude!?

Gloriously in Love : Kangana Ranaut - Kareena Kapoor -Saif Ali Khan - Sushmita Sen

These B-Town girls have gone from skinny to comparatively or positively curvy and we think it is all thanks to the amorous magic of their doting beaus. Take a look

Kangana Ranaut: She was skinny, almost anorexic when she entered the Bollywood scene in 2006.But now she can be called curvy. In the first picture, even the nautical stripes don't add volume to her waif like frame but in the second picture, she fills out her striped dress much better and she is glowing with the affection that Adhyayan showers on her.

Kareena Kapoor: Kareena started getting into shape in fitness freak ex-beau Shahid's company. Her weight loss for Tashan was dramatic and she went from curvy to anorexic. Then, jab she fell in love with Saif, he was extremely concerned about her weight and lavished romantic dinners on her, urging her to put on weight and eat well. The result is for all to see. Kareena is getting her curves back. Her chest is almost flat, her waist is narrow and her frame is waif like in the first picture, but she appears heavier on the top with a broader waist in the second picture.

Sushmita Sen: Her men would change with the changing seasons but her weight remained constant and she maintained a slim, perfectly proportionate figure. Then when, current beau Mudassar Aziz entered her life, she piled on the pounds and how. It's all the glow of love. It seems she is so happy and content that she doesn't count calories anymore. What's more, she has quit smoking because of Mudassar which has caused her to gain weight. In the first picture, you can see how skinny her arms are and how slim her face is, but in the second picture, she is wearing dark colours and full sleeves to camouflage her bulging arms. Even her face is looking bigger and her smile is the widest and brightest in prospective husband Mudassar's company.

Face Off: Slumdog Millionaire vs RTMC

There is a choice of two movies to watch on this bank holiday weekend. And with an equally strong star cast and story line, we at SBO are going to make things easy for you.
Here is the lowdown on what works and what doesn't for Slumdog Millionaire and Raaz- the mystery continues.

Slumdog Millionaire
Slumdog Millionaire

What works
• Rahman's brilliant score is a big draw. Jai Ho, O Saya, Ringa and the background score on the whole is phenomenal to say the least and complements to story telling perfectly.
• The performances are beautiful to say the least. The children playing the characters at their youngest are so endearing. Kudos to Loveleen Tandon for extracting such fine performances from the children who were handpicked from slums! Dev Patel, Freida Pinto and Anil Kapoor deliver flawless performances.
• The Oscar nominations and Golden Globe win with all the worldwide media attention and hype will push people to watch the movie out of curiosity.
Danny Boyle and Simon Beaufoy have made a brilliant and touching film that is filled with an Indian soul.
• Slumdog released in both English and Hindi. Slumdog Millionaire will be a huge draw for the English speaking audiences and those who want to watch it in its original version. For the aam janta that is mostly Hindi speaking, they can enjoy this Academy Award nominated film as Slumdog Crorepati without any dilution of its essence.
What doesn't work
• The depiction of the corrupt side of Mumbai will offend some people. There are lies, deceit, sinister intentions and crushed dreams. Propagators of India Shining will not be happy with the gritty portrayal of slum life. There may be shiny skyscrapers lining the city's skyline but the number of messy slum settlements is no less.
• The film has got an unprecedented amount of media hype and attention around the world. By the time the film came to India a lot of people might have developed unreasonably high expectations from the film. There is a slim chance that it may not meet their sky high expectations.
• Many people have already seen this film on DVD and VCD because it released a long time back in the international markets or those who haven't seen it might choose to watch it at home. Thus box office collections might be affected.

Raaz - The Mystery Continues
Raaz - The Mystery Continues
What works
• Raaz is a pure horror flick. And good horror films are rarely made in India. So, people who are bored of the usual romantic fluff that is churned out week after week and liked the first Raaz will trek to the theatres to experience something different and be scared out of their wits. Raaz is a genuinely scary flick with spine chilling moments. You won't turn out your lights for a while after you watch the movie. The ending of the film is completely unexpected. The direction by Mohit Suri is taut.
• Like every other Emraan Hashmi flick, the music of Raaz is doing remarkably well. Turn on your radio and you will find the haunting Maahi and the pleasant Soniyo playing on a few stations. The videos of these songs, the rock version of Maahi and the catchy remix of O Jaana are dominating TV channels.
• Kangana Ranaut cemented her position as a fantastic actress with her model act in Fashion and Raaz is pegged to be her finest performance to date. She looks better than ever. Emraan Hashmi is sporting a new look in the film and not kissing for a change. Adhyayan Suman is filling in for him. His relationship with Kangana has generated a lot of buzz and free publicity for the film. It will be interesting to see how their real life chemistry translates on screen and how Adhyayan fares as an actor.

What doesn't work
• The scary scenes have been lifted from Hollywood flicks like Stigmata, Final Destination and a few scenes have a very The Ring feel to it. So cinema purists might get put off by that.
• The film has an adult rating not only for its scary moments but for its crass language. It is a no-no for children. This will affect box office collections. People who think horror films are not their cup of tea will also keep away.
• The movie hasn't got very encouraging reviews. Most reviews are average and so the avid review followers just might dismiss the movie.
