11. Kurbaan: Kurbaan, one of the best movies from Karan Johar's production house turned to be a surprise flop. The first day saw a 40% opening, which was poor. The movie grossed around Rs 4 crore approx on its opening day. Barring Mumbai, Kurbaan did badly in most parts of the country. Probable Reason for Kurbaan to flop: Negative promotional strategy and too much serious content.

10. Delhi 6: Delhi 6, appreciated by a certain segment of critics, were rejected by the masses. The metaphoric film was way too much for the common man and the youth to handle

9. Blue: Blue one of the most expensive movies of 2009 was marred by critics. Anupama Chopra of NDTV called the movie an 'incredibly dim-witted underwater thriller', criticizing the performance and the cast and the dialogues while Rajeev Masand called it ''brainless, forgettable action-thriller'. Probable reasons for Blue to flop: Lousy dialogues, crappy screenplay and slow pace.

8. Main aur Mrs. Khanna: Main aur Mrs. Khanna flopped collecting only 10.41 crores in 1st week and the fact that it released in Diwali with other two biggies All the Best and Blue sealed its fate.

7. Dil Bole Hadippa: Rani Mukherjee worked hard for Dil Bole Hadippa in terms of her appearance and her body. But she couldnt salvage this copy of She's The Man from sinking in the box office. 6. Luck: Luck ran out of Luck as the debut film of Shruti Haasan flopped badly. The movie had nothing to offer and it was long and convoluted.

5. Acid Factory: Another multi-starrer flop. Acid Factory in the making for a long time had a ridiculous story line and bad treatment.

1. Chandni Chowk to China: The trusted director for flop movies, Nikhil Advani did it again this time with Chandni Chowk to China. He dint seem to learn from Saalam-e-Ishq which was 2007's biggest flop. Akshay Kumar's golden run in 2008 at the box office stopped with this film.

Probable reason for Chandni Chowk to China to flop:A stupid plot, bad performances, slow pace and pathetic humor were the low points of this film
